SYPR: 2025+ RY's: Changes were needed to Support Insureds Transferring from Another AIP Due to MGR-25-004.

Changes that were made:

Similar logic from the 2023 RY was added back to the System to help support Prior Year Production Reporting (PYPR) as well as Same Year Production (SYP) for new transfer business due to the 2026 RY procedural change called out in MGR-25-004 that no longer required an Insured to provide his production report to the ceding AIP. Instead, they were allowed to report their production from the prior year to their new AIP.

Similar to 2023, Users were able to enter production for 2 different CY’s within a single RY for new business beginning with the 2026 RY. However, instead of the System determining which screen to launch (PYPR/Legacy or SYPR) when selecting the Fast Edit PR button based on the existence of an AR Sign Date or not, Users were able to select which year they want to enter production for once the screen loads. Here are additional details regarding those changes:

For active SYPR Crops with a coverage status of “Added Crop”, “New” or “Transfer In” only, the System continued to default to SYPR Mode when Fast Edit PR was launched but, Users were allowed to select the prior RY or current RY after launching Fast Edit PR. For example, after selecting the Fast Edit PR button from a 2026 RY Policy, a User was able to select 2025 or 2026.
If 2025 was selected (which was the year in which the ceding company would have written the policy), the Legacy Fast Edit PR screen displayed.
Production keyed from this screen was for the 2025 CY and will update the 2026 RY APH.
When a Production Report Sign Date was applied to the Maintain Signatures page, the date was applied to the 2026 RY APH record.
If 2026 was selected, the SYPR Fast Edit PR screen displayed. This was the default when the screen initially loaded after selecting the Fast Edit PR Button. This mode continued to work as it did prior to the changes in this ticket where:
Production keyed from this screen was for the 2026 CY and updated the 2027 RY APH.
Production Report Sign Dates applied to the Maintain Signatures page updated on the ProductionReported record for P26 reporting purposes. The dates were also pushed to the appropriate 2027 RY APH records.

AIP's requested the ability to better track Lease Certification information for Plan 13 (PRF (0088), Apiculture (1191) and Annual Forage (0332)) which was required when a Lease Agreement was in place.

Changes that were made:

MCT added the ability to enter lease certification into the system for 2026+ RY's. The functionality was similar to how other information such as Written Agreements, Contracts, Assignments of Indemnity, etc. were entered. This was a recap of the new functionality:

A new “Add Lease Certification” option was added to the Utilities Menu from within a Policy that will allow a User to enter a Lease Record.

Once the “Add Lease Certification” link was selected from the Utilities Menu, a new "Add New Lease Certification" screen displayed allowing the following Lease Certification information to be applied:

Lessee and Lessor fields:

The "Lessee" field was the name of the Operator/Tenant while the "Lessor" field was the name of the Landowner/Landlord. Both names came from the Lease Certification form.

Both fields were free text entry fields (alpha/numeric) up to 50 characters.

Both fields were required upon save.

The Lease Type field was a dropdown that will default to –Select--. Available selections were:

For PRF (0088) and Annual Forage (0332):

Dollar/Acre Rental Agreement
Cash or Fixed Dollar Amount
Share Rent
Rate of Gain
Cost Per Head, Per Day or Month
Animal Unit Month Basis
Other

For Apiculture (1191):

Dollar/Acre Rental Agreement
Cash or Fixed Dollar Amount
Share Rent
Other

A valid selection for each crop mentioned above was required upon save. Since most of the selections were available for all 3 crops, a validation was added for Apiculture to not allow a Lease Type of “Rate of Gain”, “Cost Per Head, Per Day or Month” or, “Animal Unit Month Basis”. The validation message read as follows:

Please select a valid Lease Type for the selected Coverage(s).

Users were allowed to enter a 2nd Lease record (or more) with the valid Lease Type/Coverage combinations for each if/when necessary.

The Lease Type Description Field was a free text entry field up to 30 characters.

This field only displayed if a Lease Type of “Other” was selected.

A value must be entered at Save if the Lease Type was “Other”.

The Coverages field allowed active Plan 13 coverage records to be selected.

Only coverage's the Lease Certification applied to should have been selected.

Coverage selections included the County, Crop, Type, Practice, Plan, Interval, Level and Price % (or, Productivity Factor for Annual Forage) for each active Plan 13 coverage on the policy.

User was able to select 1 or more or, all coverage’s in the dropdown.

At least 1 coverage record must have been selected at Save.
